The MNTN COFFEE project was implemented in January 2022. The coffee shop is located on the first floor of a new residential building in the historical district of St Petersburg. The project involves the main features of this space: its complex geometry has determined the zoning scheme, while four-meter high ceilings and huge windows let natural light and air in.
The interior is based on a monochrome palette of light gray and ash blue colors which result in a calm and relaxing atmosphere. In the center of the coffee shop is a triangular sofa placed around the column to create a spacious island for guests. The sofa also divides the space into two parts — a coworking zone with a communal table and a French seating with individual tables alongside the windows.
Each functional area is distinguished by its own material: the bar and open kitchen are made entirely of stainless steel, the French seating area features granite countertops and the sofa is surrounded by wooden tables and chairs. The coworking space also features wood and metal that stand out due to their muted blue color. The decor has been kept to a minimum, the rare details include laconic &TRADITION and MUUTO lamps, plants and a painting by local artist Ksenia Daka. The interior is also filled with furniture by Delo studio and Danish chairs by HAY.
